Our Technical Director Sean Riggs is a native of Saskatoon who grew up in the Aurora area. He coached the very first game of zoned soccer for Aurora in 1998. His playing career included a stint with both the U of S Huskies and the Saskatoon Accelerators. As a coach, he attained his National B license in 2007. He worked with the Provincial Program for seven years, Women's Huskies and was the community head coach for Eastside and Head Coach for Hollandia prior to becoming a full-time Technical Director with Prince Albert youth soccer in 2013. From there he moved to Grande Prairie Alberta to run a school academy, then head coached the Minor Soccer soccer program there prior to returning home to Aurora August 2016.
His philosophy is player's first and development over winning. He would like to see all players realize their dreams and play at whatever level they wish in a fun environment, that promotes a majority of players enjoying the game for a lifetime. His goal for Aurora is to create an environment and coaching staff that increases registration numbers in the all age groups and also increase player retention.
